11 hours to go
Approximately 12 hours from now we will be at the hospital prepping for inducement. Both of us are excited but also wondering what tomorrow and the days following will hold. It is somewhat wierd to think that the day we have been waiting for, for what seems like forever, is tomorrow.
Tomorrow
We have been instructed to call the hospital around 6:30 tomorrow morning and see if they have a room for us and then they will give us further instructions from there. It could be that they tell us not to come in for a while, or it will be right away. Once we know, Chris will post what is going to go on.
We will be bringing Chris’s laptop to watch DVD’s on, and listen to music. The idea is to try to keep April relaxed and distracted. We are bringing with us season 1 of Scrubs (one of our absolutly fav shows), season 2 of arrested development (thanks gene), season 2 of Dead like me (thanks nick), and season one of the TV show lost. Chris has also put together a playlist of music called “Birth control” which has something like 2 days of music on it, to keep us company while in the hospital. Think we have enough distractions?
We will also have our Doula, Katie, there to help April with the delivery, and also help Chris help April.
Tonight we are just enjoying a candle lit dinner and organizing everything to be ready when we come home.
Come Visit Us!
If you want to come visit us in the Hospital, which we welcome, call Chris’s cell phone. We won’t give the number here b/c we don’t want strange people calling us, but, if you don’t have it, we are sure you know someone who does. We aren’t allowed to keep the cell phones on in the hospital but he will check it every so often, and will return any messages that you may leave. If you can’t get a hold of us, or don’t hear from us, please come by anyway. We will be at Paoli hospital, which doesn’t have official visiting hours, so come any time, (kinda, within reason). We will be allowed to stay about 48 hours after the birth is done, so we will be there at least until Friday morning, possibly into Saturday.
So, keep us in your prayers, and the next post will be to say we are headed to the hospital.
