40 days. Not long, that will fly by in no time. 40 days to what? Our baby’s birth of course! As the time grows nearer, I want to try to give more frequent little updates. Nothing more is new, though we had our 2nd birth class wednesday night. We saw one of those famous birth video’s and it wasn’t that bad. Pray for me, chris, b/c i am not sure how helpful I am going to be to April. I will do my best though. Luckily, our doula, Katie, will be there to help. I am very glad we have her. She will be a huge blessing.

Anyway, I am uploading some pictures of April and I over the holidays of us and our tree and then some pictures from a friends “music party”. Feel free to check them out.

I am supposed to keep y’all up on the latest with us, and i have to admit, i havnt done a great job of it. This is my attempt at beginning to do that.
As I write this, we have only 43 days until our “official” due date is upon us. That is not much time. Crazyness!

So we started birth classes last wednesday. We are taking through the business that the doula we have “hired” is a part of. We actually know her and her business partner through church. Our class is only $60, compared to the $125+ hospitols charge you. In addition, it is only April and I and another couple from our small group. So the setting is very personal. We go for a total of 5 classes.

We weren’t sure how useful this would be, but i learned a ton the first class, such as the fact that you don’t push until the end of labor (WHO KNEW?). So this class will be very good. It is helping me prepare, at the very least, mentally for it. We did watch a semi cheesy video about preping for labor in general, but not THE video everyone asks about. Apprently, the one they choose was the least gorey one they could find. Anyway, i highly recommend using the gals we are for this stuff.

We have tons left to do to prep for the baby. We still have to clear out the room, which we plan on doing this weekend, and a bunch of other “cleaning” items related. We hope to get that done this weekend. If you are available to help, please let me know.

So it has come to my attention that certain peeps that actually read this site would like to hear more about the baby and April. I will certainly make sure to do that from here forward. We don’t have enough pictures of her preganant, which i am sure she won’t want, but I think she is beautiful pregnant, so i will do my best to get more pics of her and her progress.

Just a suggestion, from me to you – please give me feedback! it is easy enough to register and leave a comment. that way i know what y’all are thinking and want to know more about whats up (you know who you are, mm).
