We had another dr’s appointment last night. Everything seems to be progressing nicely. There was no progress on the dilation, but the Dr said April is 70% effaced. So, any day now.

We picked up our glider chair last night from babies R us, so that is pretty much the last peice to the nursery, besides pictures. So, once the chair is put together, we will take pictures.

Lastly, we are both “ready” for our baby to come. We want to meet him, to hold him. So, we are praying it happens soon.

So I was thinking this morning (yes, I think(this is chris btw)) about how special the last nine months has been. It is such a miracle of God to have a child growing inside you/your wife and I have really cherished this time. April has done so well and I have said to her, several times, that I am going to miss the whole pregnancy thing, once our boy is here. Of course at that point, we will have a beautiful boy to hold and love. Not a bad trade off.

I am really happy that I don’t think either of has taken this time for granted. We have both been soaking in how special this period is and enjoying it. I know what comes next is infinitely harder, but I know it also is much more rewarding and I truly cannot wait. I am ready to meet him, I want this to happen.

Anyway, so, yea, no news since this weekend. No podcast yet. I will try to do that tonight, and give some details that are not being written. We do have a dr’s appointment tonight and they tell you to bring a suitcase with you in case the dr tells you to go to the hospital, which could be for a number of reasons. I don’t expect that to happen. Regardless, i will try to give a quick update tonight.

Lastly, it’s been a while since I did a little Apple (computers) rant/rave. I am not going to do that, BUT, i am going to give some links and some tidbits of info that I find interesting.

Apple’s 30 year anniversery is coming up in April. Many people are fully expecting them to come out with some really cool stuff by then. In fact, on February 28th, they are having a special event. The rumors are that they will come out with an intel mac mini and iBook, or MacBook, as they are speculating that they will call it. Here is a link that give some info on it.

In addition, it isn’t rumor that, apple has been talking with blockbuster, yes the video rental store. And the rumor is they MAY buy it. It is very obvious that Apple is positioning itself to be a center of all things Media, evidenced by having tons of music content (recently selling their ONE BILLIONTH song through iTunes), providing and selling tons of video content, and now the rumor is that they will announce that they are going to sell full length feature films through iTunes. Which leads me to further believe that a DVR (tivo-like) capable mac mini is not far off.

Another important rumor floating around is that Apple is hard at work on the “real” video ipod. The 5th gen ipod is not the video ipod, but “video capable ipod”. There have been some patents filed by apple (another link) Which leads people to believe that the next ipod will feature a 3.5 inch screen, pretty much the whole face of the ipod, which would be wicked.

Lastly, Apple just made the very top of Fortune magazines 2006 list for the Most Admired Company for tech innovations. Just thought I would put that out there – Microsoft – EAT YOUR HEART OUT!

Hey all, hope everyone had a good weekend. We did but there is no new news to report on the pregnancy. Saturday Chris worked most of the, going between work work and getting our financial info in order. He says “Budgets are a good thing, and after I revising and updating ours, I feel so much better.” April spent saturday organizing the nursery. Saturday night we went out with April’s family and tried to go to Texas Roadhouse in Lancaster, but there was a 2 hour and 45 min wait. So we went to pizza hut. Boy, that was good!!

Sunday we went to church, then to Babies R Us to get a glider and ottoman. They had the ottoman, but not the Glider, so they ordered it. We should have it within 2 weeks. A good friend came by later that afternoon to pick up some maternity clothes and see the nursery. Then we just chilled out the rest of the day. We kept thinking how this may be the last “chill” time before we have Logan.
