Katrina Video
Nope, this one isn’t a “Logan” update, its a little entry from Chris, about, yes, you guessed it Apple and a couple other things. First, i came across this video, put out by the associated press, relating to the governments preparedness for Katrina last year. A couple comments:
First, I feel this video shows how prepared the government actually was for the storm and how the president was acting as the president should, trusting the people that were in power to do their jobs. With that said, I don’t think enough was actually done before hand to prepare for a storm like this. And the aftermath was not handled well. But, those who mishandled it were more on the local level than federal. Thats all I will say about that. Check out the video. GO ››
Leopard to Include Virtualization Software?
This article claims that Apple, along with intel and the evil empire itself, Microsoft, are working on creating software that will be included in the next release of OS X (thats pronounced “Ten”, not “X”) that will allow you to run alternative OS’s along side OS X. HOW FRICKIN COOL IS THAT. For those that know, i don’t have to explain how huge that would be.
Last week or so, someone claimed the $13K plus prize for figuring out how to get an intel mac to boot Windows, plus the reports are that the intel mac, running Windows is super super fast. So if one could run windows and OS X side by side, wow. . . It also would be such a great market move for Apple.

Nick & Tatiana Visit:
This weekend my (chris speaking) brother Nick and his girlfriend came up to see Logan. We could tell they were so excited to meet him. April and I were really excited for Logan to meet them as well. They got to our place around 12 on saturday. My mom and Christy, April’s sister were already there. We had ordered Chinese food for lunch. They hung around for some of the afternoon and then went on to my parents house. The three of us followed a bit later to have dinner with them and my parents. It was a great “LaGarde Family” day.
I also have to say that Nick and Tatiana look good together. Could this be a prophetic picture?:

Dr’s Visit:
We took Logan to his second Dr.’s visit. This one was pretty much optional, but we wanted to make sure that he was gaining enough weight. And he is. He weighed in at exactly 6 lbs today. The Dr. was happy with that amount. We had a couple questions, one of which was his eye had been getting a bit goopy. But the dr said it was just a clogged tear duct. Which we figured it probably was.

Growing and Changing
It is absolutly amazing how quickly time goes by and how quickly kids grow up. We see changes in Logan every day. In a way that is sad, but in a much better way it is wonderful. He is starting to get chubby cheeks, just a bit though. He also has so many faces, many of them tell us he is trying to poop. hehe. He also has really long fingers, which a “virtual friend” mentioned on their podcast, Baby Time, which is linked to over to the right. Kerry said that with his long fingers he could be a great piano player one day. We hadn’t thought of that. Thanks kerry!
Chris promises he will put up some video soon. He has some from the hospital and we really want to take some more. We just have to do it.
Here you go Mom
She is probably going to be mad at me but, here are more pictures of you and your Grandson.

Thank you YMM!
Community – true community – is very hard to find, especially in our self centered, sheltered, internet and work driven society. That is why I want to call special attention to a wonderful community April and I are a part of. This community is commonly known as the Young Marrieds Ministry, and we are so very thankful that we are a part of it and that they have embraced the biblical idea of community.
Why the sudden outpouring? Because they have commited to providing meals for April and I for the next several weeks on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is such a huge help, especially given that April had a C-Section and cannot move around as easy as normal. We wanted to give a special thanks to Jessica Harlan. She is the one that took the lead to organize the meal schedule for all the couples involved in the YMM that have had babies recently. She has 4 (?) month old her self. So, thank you Jessica!
We also want to thank Kevin Busza for his vision and commitment to this ministry. He and I started the ministry about 3 years ago and he has been the major driving force to keep it moving forward. Thank you Kevin!

Our Little Squirt
Having an infant is such a precious time in ones life. We are so enjoying getting to know our little “bugaboo”. He has so many cute and intersting faces. We just love to stare at him and watch him. Chris noticed that Logan has his dimples, which April is very happy about. Logan also sneezes like Chris, which is at least 3 times in a row, even as many times as 6. That one, April is not so happy about. Logan is also a very loud pooper. Man, when he is going, you know it! It is just amazing how loud such a little guy can be.
He is doing better now at breast feeding and on, wednesday night, he only woke at 3 to be fed and then again at about 8 ish. So we were both glad to get a pretty decent nights sleep.
He continually makes a little monkey face, which looks like this: (ears are adjusted for effect)

Its just so dern cute!
P.S. -Chris voted for “all chris” but he knows Logan, so far, resembles the better looking of his two parents (April).
