Happy birthday to . . .

Sorry for the delay. Here it is wednesday and we havn’t even posted for this weekend. We did upload pictures though. Anyway, there isn’t much time to write this, so it will need to be short.
Easter Weekend
This weekend was wonderful. It started out great with a good friday service that Chris was able to lead the music worship for at our church. Unfortunately, Logan decided to pull an all nighter that night which kept us up. But, it hasn’t happened since, so we are thankful.
Saturday we got to visit with Chris’s family, including both his brothers, and his one brother’s family. His neice and nephew really enjoyed meeting Logan. Because he didn’t sleep well the night before he wasn’t the most pleasant of babies, but they still enjoyed it. We had dinner there and then went home to try and get some good sleep.

On Easter Sunday, we went to the United Sports Training Center (USTC) where our church was holding their Easter service. They made a big deal out of it and for good reason. We arrived 10 minutes before the service started, which was not what we wanted, but we have an infant, so. . . There were barely any parking spaces left, the place was packed and there was a huge line of cars still waiting to get in.
The service itself was great. There were between 3 – 4 thousand there, we think. Logan was very good, all dressed up and everything. We actually havnt’ take a picture of him in his outfit yet, but promise to get one asap. Anyway, the service seemed to go off with out a hitch. If you want more of an explanation of the service, check out our friend’s site – destinationLopez – and read their Easter entry. We have slightly different views of how the service went, but thats cool.
After the service, we got some family pics with Aprils family, then headed over to Chris’s parents. In addition to his brothers, his Aunt and Uncle were there as well. We were thrilled to see them and have them meet Logan. Also, family friends, the Oksala’s stopped by to meet him as well. For about 15 minutes, the place was a nut house.

We had our easter dinner, which was SOOOOOO good. “Dam’ma” LaGarde made a really good Roast, it was 12 lbs, so good. We visited a bit longer afterwards, then once everyone was headed home, we went to April’s parents to spend time there. And the rest is history.
Didn’t you mention “Birthday”?
Yes, I did. It is April’s. We celebrated by going out to dinner alone last week. You can read about it here. We are also going out tonight, with Logan to April’s favorite restaurant, the Olive Garden. It will be fun. I have such a wonderful wife and I am so blessed. I hope I can return, even just slightly, the servanthood, grace and love she shows me. I love you baby!
