Wednesday, Gene Cascarella’s Mom found her husband in the basement, having died of heart failure. He was 83

The services are Monday at Marcus Hook Baptist Church in Linwood. The viewing will be at 10:00 and the service right afterwards. Then there will be a public burial than people are welcome over my mom’s house in Essington.

Here are directions:
Take 202 south to Route 1
Left on Route 1
Right on 322 East towards 95
Pass Wal-Mart, Dunkin’ Donuts & Bowling Alley.
After next light, bear right onto ramp for 452
Right onto 452.
Stay on this road under 95 and into town.
Church is on left.

Happy First Fathers Day

We had a long weekend- full of fun and firsts! Let me fill you in:

First, I would like to take a minute and say Happy 1st Fathers Day to my wonderful husband! He has been amazing with Logan- almost every morning he gets up and takes Logan so I can sleep in… He takes such good care of us! Chris you are awesome and God gave me so much more than I could have asked for in a husband and a father! Logan lights up when you come into sight and I can tell he knows who you are and loves you so much! I know you love us and put us first, you are a very Godly I know how much you want to teach Logan to love the Lord the way that you do and I believe you are the perfect one for the job! Thank you for being so wonderful and HAPPY FIRST FATHERS DAY BABY!

Second, I would like to say Happy Fathers Day to my dad, Chris’ dad and my grandfathers- With out you we would not be who we are today! Thank you for loving us unconditionally and teaching us how to be good parents- we are taking what we learned from you and putting it into practice! You are the most wonderful Fathers in the world and we couldn’t ask for better Grandpa’s and Great-Grandpa’s for Logan! Thank you first and foremost for teaching us how to love and serve God – we look forward to passing it along to Logan and watching him grow to love and serve the Lord the way you do!

Firsts

This weekend (thru today) held a lot of first for us-
April as you can read below went on her first “Mothers Night Out” with Missy O’Malley and Jen McLaughlin- Thanks girls I had a blast we need to do it again.
Chris celebrated his first fathers day! hooray!
Logan rolled over (wheather on purpose or not he still did it- this time with no help)! Ashlea had to go to the vet (not her first time) and had to have blood drawn (this was a first) she did very well- Thanks Jen Cascarella!

Today, Logan went swimming and went under (mommy did it on purpose, but Logan didn’t like it at all! mean mommy!)Earlier this evening I was reading our friends blog and they said that their little girl was laughing – she is only a week and a half older than Logan so I was wondering when he would start to laugh and as I was thinking that he giggled… Logan laughed a real laugh- this is really the second time he laughed, but tonight he was laughing and laughing so we know it was for real and on purpose. The funny part about this is… both times he didn’t laugh at mommy or daddy, but at Ashlea (our dog) she must be funny! He was giggling and giggling at her and she was putting on a show she must have known that she was the entertainment!

The Weekend

As you know on Friday Night I (april) went out with the girls, we left the kids with the husbands, well at least I did, and then we went to Olive Garden and had a good time and we didn’t get home until 10:30 or 11 and then didn’t go home until 12:30- 1 am… we sure are crazy… hehe

On Saturday we hung out at the Harlan’s – they had a pool party for us with lots of fun and tons of hot dogs on the grill- we of course over stayed our welcome and we were there until 1 am- Thank you guys for hosting such a fun day- Chris the water lover of the family was in their pool the entire time and Logan (who takes after his daddy) was in with him- once out and fed he feel asleep and slept the rest of the evening…

On Sunday we celebrated Fathers Day with both sides of the family, first we had a picnic with my family out at my aunts pool and as though they didn’t have enough swimming the day before- Chris and Logan we in the pool again! we had a good time and Logan LOVES the water!

We then went to Chris’ parents for a VERY yummy meal, we had a nice time hanging out and catching up- while we were there- Chris gave his dad a book he made up with all of the grand canyon pictures in it, Ben seemed to like it alot! Logan also gave Daddy a present -a big poopy diaper! SURPRISE! and I being the bad wife that I am, made Chris clean it up- hehe
We had a wonderful FULL weekend- Thanks to everyone for making our weekend so much fun!

Happy Birthday to Erin Lopez – June 21st, Erin I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation, have a great birthday and we will get together when you get back!

Happy Birthday to my (aprils) dad- June 23rd- just in case I don’t get a chance to get on here and write up a quick blurb, Happy Birthday Daddy! we love you and we hope you have a wonderful birthday! Thank you for loving us and being such a great dad- and now grandpa to Logan! we love you and cherish you- we couldn’t ask for a better dad/ father in law/ grandpa!
