Slackers . . .

Ok, we admit it, we are slackers. But we posted new photos last night. We also have some videos we want to post, one of Logan “singing” “Ba-ba-ba, ba-bara Ann” from the Beach Boys. Anyway, check out our recent photos.

It seems like forever since we have posted about Logan. So I thought I should update you on a few things.
Really not much has changed- he is growing like a weed- he is teething- his top two teeth are coming in and besides that I think he has gotten a cold. Poor thing isn’t feeling well at all, but surprisingly enough, he is very pleasant to be around.

Yesterday, I put Logan in the nursery knowing that he was teething- his nose was running pretty badly but it wasn’t green! Most of the way thru the service Logan’s number was called- it was my first time being called out of anything, he is usually so good, I was actually kinda happy, I imagined him being so sad and upset an way that only the mommy would be able to fix- well, that wasn’t the case! As I walked through the halls I met people I knew- and I told them that I had to keep going because my number was called and they said to me- “oh, your baby must be the sick baby… I was up there a few minutes ago and the nursery workers were screaming “we have a green snotter here!” – I was mortified, I am not the type of mom who puts her child in the nursery when they are sick, in fact I always keep Logan out, if there is even a chance that he could be sick or get someone else sick. Well, I reached the nursery and was informed that my child was “sick” and that I had to take him, he was sticking everything in his mouth (as though that was weird for a 10 month old)- as I looked around the nursery, my child (the sick one, mind you) was the only one there being good- every other child was screaming and crying… it was kind of ironic… Logan, honestly, was fine when I dropped him off but when I picked him up, I got the “look” like “how dare you try to pass green snot off as teething snot, you must not be a good mom”… I was and still am beyond embarrassed… From now on I feel like every time I drop him off I will be looked at like, “Oh there is the mom who either doesn’t know when her kid is sick- or tries to put him in the nursery when he is sick and passes it off as “teething” – sure, sure.”
As it turns out, he is sick but he wasn’t when I put him in the nursery, what could the common factor be ???? =)

On a more cheerful note Logan took two steps yesterday, (no we didn’t get pictures-sorry) he has been what I call “falling walking” for the last two weeks or so. “Falling walking” is what Logan does between two pieces of furniture, he is close enough that he doesn’t have to get down and crawl, but he can’t quite reach so, he takes a step and falls into the other piece of furniture. But yesterday, he took two steps from the gate to Daddy! Who knows how long it will take for him to do it again, since he hasn’t been willing to do it since. He does have great balance and he will walk while holding only one of my hands, so that is good. I really don’t think he wants to walk, if he did he would probably be walking by now- I think for him it is easier to crawl, he knows how, it doesn’t take work and he is really FAST!!!
Well that is it for now. I am sure I will write again soon to update you again…

I don’t know about you all out there but I think Logan is a lot cuter than an ipod =)
