He’s our little Elf =)

We have SO many pictures of Logan sleeping, I guess that is what babies do, and well, we got a GREAT sleeper, UNTIL…. we went on our Young Marrieds Weekend Retreat…

I have to say that Logan did better than most of the other kids, but for a few minutes I thought I was going to go crazy…

Here was our night- 9:30pm we get back to our room, we put him in his pj’s and start trying to put him down- he thinks its a game and gets REALLY wound up, so we decided it wasn’t worth it and that we would just go socialize for a little while and then try again. 10:30pm Logan throws up on me, he threw up a whole green bean and then proceeded to eat it again… So gross I thought I was going to throw up. So we try again… We gave him his bottle and put him in his bed- 10 min. later after he cried and wined we put him in our bed, 10 min. later after he wouldn’t lay down and he wanted to PLAY we put him back in his bed- this routine happened until 12:30am and FINALLY we let him cry it out. It took him awhile, but he finally feel to sleep, and he slept until morning. To us who have a good child who goes down for naps and bed time so easily, 2 hours of putting our kid to bed is ridiculous. BUT we had it WAY better than a few of our friends who were up the ENTIRE night- so we really aren’t complaining!

It’s true. After trusting Christ for my salvation and marrying my wife, (and being born i suppose), Logan is the best thing that ever happened to me. I love getting him up in the morning, when he is like his mom and takes forever to truly wake up. I love seeing him in the middle of the day when he is eating. . .
.

I love finding out what he enjoys and what makes him laugh. Like in these pictures I am giving him a “horsey ride”. I put him on my shoulders and run around the house with him, and up and down the stairs and he loves it. I love “chewing” his stomach, which makes him laugh and gnawing on his legs right above the knee which drives him nuts. He is turning into such a little man. I love him so much. Thank you God for this beautiful gift.
