The LaGarde Family

We are back! Canada was a blur… we had a great time, on the other hand I forget what a vacation is supposed to be- Relaxing??? There was NO relaxing in the LaGarde family… Who knew a 16 month old could keep you hop’in the way Logan had us running around…

Chris, the poor guy got sick and was not feeling good most of the week and although the week started off looking good sleeping wise, in the middle of the week Logan decided it is ALOT more fun to wake up in the middle of the night and keep mommy and daddy awake for an extended period of time… AND then wake up at 7 or 8 in the morning… ICK… (everyone in the cabin likes to sleep in, so it was a challenge to keep Logan quiet until everyone was up…but thank the Lord for lap tops and elmo videos:))

To be honest it wasn’t all work and no play, the first half of the week was clear and sunny although, if you weren’t in the sun it was pretty cold, so if we could we would all sit on the dock and warm our selves in the sun… We were like lizards and snakes… all laying out to keep warm. Those of you who are not parents, this is when you would lean back and read a book, maybe take a nap, for those of you who are parents and know what I am talking about, this is when you pretend to read a book and are actually watching to make sure your kid doesn’t fall in the lake…

Some of the kids did some tricks for us on the wake board, some rode the jet skis, some fished, and others played in the water like fish… My two boys were the latter… I think they are both part fish…

We had an amazing week it was so much fun we can’t wait to go back next year- only this time we will have two kids and it will be really crowded… I will fill you in on the other things we did in the next up date…

its a bad family picture, but its good of both my boys, and I don’t think we got any other family pictures- so this will have to do…

So I thought it would be fun to compare a picture of what Logan looks like now to what he looked like a year ago…

NOW… (16 months)

THEN… (4 months)

He was and still is the same Logan- it makes me giggle looking back at some of the photos- they are so cute, and he is getting so stink’n BIG- it makes me sad, at the same time I just Love watching him grow up and learn- he is trying so hard to say words now- he is testing me (and my patience) and I think I love him more now than I did then, and I remember then I didn’t think there was anyway to love him any more than I did then… WOW love is a strange thing- how can people not believe in God- when they look at the most tiny precious of little humans and watch them grow up and learn to love in return and hug and blow kisses, and be their own little person- it is so amazing and it amazes me everyday, watching Logan and seeing things through his eyes: the world is his playground and believe me, everything revolves around him

And for those of you who aren’t the “intuitive” type, sometime around Feb 15, the LaGarde family will grow from 3 to 4!!

Yup, the Lord decided to surprise us a bit, and we are expecting a little brother or sister for logan. We have had our first Dr’s visit and had an ultrsound, complete with picture. We will scan that and post shortly. We are very excited. Pray for the health, development, and saftey of both mom and baby!. Thanks all!
