Family Fun down on the Farm

Like some of the other blogger friends of ours out there we ALSO went to Highland Orchards this past Saturday. We ran into Matt and Missy O’Malley, but missed Dan and Erin Lopez by a few minutes – I think we were pulling out as they were pulling in… You can check out their sites if you haven’t already done so, by clicking on the links to the right…

It was SOOOOO much fun to go as a family and feed the animals, play on the play ground, eat donuts, drink cider, pick apples and pumpkins, AND flat out enjoy family time…

Logan got out of the car when we arrived and did his happy dance- he was so thrilled that we were doing something fun- Chris and I had a BLAST watching him pet the goats- for some reason though he kept wanting to get to the chickens (who wanted nothing to do with him)…

We played for a long time, went to get donuts because they smelled SO good, and then we took a tractor ride out to pick apples… Logan LOVED sitting in the open air trailer and watch all the landscape go by… While we picked apples Logan took a ride on daddy’s shoulders and then proceeded to smear chewed up apple in daddy’s hair- EEWW- needless to say, Logan ended up having to walk pretty quickly…

Logan picked his FIRST pumpkin from the pumpkin patch- of course he couldn’t pick a small pumpkin that was just his size- no he ended up picking a pretty adult sized pumpkin… Silly goose- Oh well!!!

Yes, to some of you this picture may look like another families picture- that is because we abused our friendship and made Matt and Missy take our picture…
We had such a fun time, I think we will make it a family tradition from now on- maybe we will go back and take a hay ride…
