Thanksgiving 2007

The LaGarde Family- Thanksgiving 2007

Our Blessings are endless, and too many to name, but on Thanksgiving Day

we try just the same. We want to be sure that we show the love that is

given to us from up above. We Smell the aroma of the feast we can

share and spend Thanksgiving Day with the ones who are dear.

The Grandchildren- Elisabeth, Thomas and Logan

As you can see we spent Thanksgiving with the LaGarde side of the family- we had a wonderful time of fellowship, games and of course lots of delicious food… We had a great time and Logan had a wonderful time being the center of attention (or so he thought)

Here are a few more pictures of us on Thanksgiving.

Family Picture in the beautiful fall weather…

Logan had a blast picking up the leaves on the deck and throwing them off, while saying Bye Bye- everyone found it amusing and it kept him out of trouble ;)

Thanksgiving is a time of quiet reflection upon the past and an annual reminder that God has, again, been ever so faithful. The solid and simple things of life are brought into clear focus.- Charles Swindoll

Being A Boy…

Rough and tumble, climbing trees,

Cuts , scrapes, bandaged skinned knees.
Dump Trucks, fire engines, shiny red cars,

Bugs, worms, grass and dirt in a jar.

Mischievous twinkle in their bright eyes,

Little all stars and one of the guys!

~Laura Taylor Mark

Logan is ALL boy…

I love my little boy and can’t wait to meet Grayson and see what he is like.

Whats in a name?

A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet… Oh romeo… oh romeo…

NO we are not naming our newest member ROMEO- although I have always wanted a dog with that name! We HAVE finally decided on a name though!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!

Grayson Taylor is the name of our newest member of the family! Grayson means “one of knowledge”, and Taylor means “gifted”- so we will have a son who is a gifted one of knowledge ;) well, hopefully ;)

Grayson is a name Chris REALLY liked, I like it but I’m a little nervous because it isn’t a common name- plus Grayson sounds cool, but what if the kid is a dork- it could really be a problem… We decided on Taylor because we were thinking about Tyler, but my both of my grandmothers had a set of grandparents with the last name Taylor- so it was a pretty neat family name… Since Logan is “Christopher Logan” it will be nice to have my side of the family in this child’s name… Plus then we can still use Tyler next time if we have another boy… ;)

I know that Grayson is not a normal name, and to be honest, since it is unusual, I know some of you may not like it, BUT it is what we choose and I truly believe this little one, will make the name Grayson into a popular name ;)

I guess we will be calling him Gray for short- so please don’t call him grace- that is REALLY dorky… According to the web site, “How many are there of me?” there are NO Grayson’s in the United States… I know that is probably not true, BUT, at least we don’t have to worry about him going to school with 5 other Grayson’s ;)

I found this information on the internet- and I thought it was interesting… Guess both names derive from workers… Steward and Tailor… weird…

GRAYSON
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English
Pronounced: GRAY-sun [key]
From a surname meaning “son of the steward”, derived from Middle English greyve “steward”.

TAYLOR
Gender: Masculine & Feminine
Usage: English
Pronounced: TAY-lur [key]
Derived from Middle English taillour meaning “cutter of cloth”. Originally this was a surname which denoted someone who was a tailor.

I am now 26 weeks along, and all is going well, and looking great! Thanks for all your prayers and hopefully in another few months we will all get to meet a healthy, happy baby boy- Grayson Taylor!
