Like father. . .

The first picture was taken last week. The second one was taken over 28 years ago. I thought the similarities were interesting. I didn’t know about this photo when we took it original.

New habits, bad habits. . .

So after dinner, we caught Logan doing this. . .

Since only a few people read this – Mom, I have to say this is YOUR legacy.

This first full week home has gone well. Grayson is sleeping well and getting into something that resembles a routine. We have had some great meals brought by and some wonderful visits. Logan is doing great, he seems to be growing up before our eyes.

Speaking of Logan, we took him to the ear, nose and throat specialist b/c he has had fluid in his ears since at least july, which we thought was effecting his hearing. Sure enough, the Dr. confirmed he still has fluid in his ears and would benefit from tubes in his ears. He also had a hearing test, and his hearing is poor due to the fluid. So, in about two weeks from now he will get tubes put in his ears, which is not a big surprise, given the family history on both sides with ear issues.
Here are a couple other favored photos from this week.

Grayson’s Birth: Coming Home.. .

Yesterday, Thursday the 7th, we were graciously “kicked out” of the hospital and sent home with our new addition. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we came home with pretty much, no incident.

Logan and I got to the hospital around 9:30 am, and went up to the room to pack stuff up. April was getting some paperwork filled out and getting Grayson ready to go. She put his first non-hospital outfit on him, which he did not like at all, and put him in the car seat. It took him a minute to calm down and settle in. After I took April’s suit case out to the car, I came back and we had a cart to put the rest of our stuff on. April had to be wheeled down to the car in a wheelchair, not b/c she couldn’t go down, but b/c that is hospital policy, apparently. Logan had a fun ride, sitting on the cart.

Once we got home, things went smoothly. Logan played with some news toys April had gotten him a little while back and not given to him, and we just all took some naps in the afternoon and took it easy adjusting. Aprils sisters came over after they were done work, then her parents brought dinner, and we watched the new episode of LOST at 9.

The one thing we were concerned about was Grayson not sleeping through the night, but that ended up going pretty smoothly. He was up at 2 ish, then again at 4:30, and then slept until 9 am. So we had it easy. Let’s hope he sleeps like that tonight.

Today was Graysons first Dr. appointment was today, and that also went well. He is in perfect shape. He even gained an ounce since leaving the hospital, weighing in at 7 lbs and 1 oz. Now we have to try to figure out and adjust to life as a family of four. Not only that but with 2 BOYS. This will be fun! hehe.
