Grayson’s Birth: Lots of Visitors!
Well, today was a big day! April and I didn’t sleep well leading up to this day, plus we had to get up at 4:30 am so we could be at Paoli Hospital by 5:30 am, so it has been a long day. We were only able to get a little bit of rest during the day and only had two visitors before 4 pm. At that point, it seems like we had a flood of visitors. Of course we loved it, but man by the time everyone left, we were TOTALLY exhausted, especially April.
My parents (Chris) brought Logan (now THE big brother) around 5 pm. We were not sure how Logan would react, but he seemed indifferent. He doesn’t really understand what all is going on, but, in usual Logan fashion he was very well behaved. We introduced him to Grayson and he looked at him, and we encouraged him to give his brother a kiss and he complied, but after that, I don’t think he really looked at him.
Logan, myself and my parents went down to the cafeteria to have dinner, and them came back up, and April’s Dad, her cousin Aaron and his wife Kristen were there. We set up a video for Logan to watch and keep busy with, and for the most part that kept him pretty occupied – of course it was his favorite – Blue’s Clues, or “boo coos” as he says.
After more visitors (Mike again, Renee, Jen Mclaughlin, Missy O’Malley, Mom boyes and Christy), we were finally alone again at about 10 pm ish. We fed Grayson one more time before sending him to the nursery at about 11:45pm.
It was a good day!
