I’ve never been loved…

like this before…

I love, love, love being a mother of two-  having Grayson has shown me what I missed with Logan. Grayson has eyes only for me… He will sit in other peoples laps and watch me, he is totally fine with being held by other people, but he watches me- if I look his way, he smiles and smiles!!!

I have never been so loved and I LOVE it!!!

What would you do?

Ok, some people will think that I am over reacting, but the other day I took Logan and Grayson out to Chuck E Cheese’s for our churches moms day out…

We were there for a few hours and I could tell Logan was getting tired and restless, I was standing there talking and Logan disappears- it didn’t worry me because Chuck E Cheese’s has a protection policy where you and your child get your hand marked so they know you go together but I went to look for him right away thinking I should make sure he was ok.

Good thing I did!!! I found him behind a machine on the floor being beaten up by a kid 3 times his size… You all know Logan he can hold his own, but he was so upset!!! The kid was on top of him, pushing his face into the rug, and pushing and shoving him… Logan was screaming and crying and trying to get away…

So here is where I have the question- what would you do as a parent, I always thought of myself as a relaxed and laid back parent, but when I saw this- I freaked out!!! I became the mama bear every mother has inside of them…

I grabbed the child by the arm, dug my nails into his little arms and picked him up and shoved him off Logan- while in a nasty tone saying- “WHAT ARE YOU DOING???” – the kid didn’t look upset or repentant at all, he acted as thought it was an everyday event for him, and poor Logan was so freaked out he wouldn’t let me put him down for a good 5 minutes… Let me tell you what I wanted to do to the kid- it took all my self control NOT to shake the kid until he started to cry and sit on him and beat on him until he felt what it was like to be smacked around by someone twice his size… I, of course, would never do that, but the fact that it crossed my mind tells me this brought out the worst in me…

So, what would you do as a parent, would you take the little boy to his parents and tell them what he did, or would you just leave it as it is… If it was Logan doing the beating up I would want to know- but that doesn’t mean every other parent out there would want another angry parent coming up to them telling them what their child did… So I made the little boy come over and say he was sorry to Logan and I asked him why he was beating Logan up and he couldn’t give me an answer- part of the reason he couldn’t answer was because he couldn’t talk very well, and the other part, I am sure, is that Logan didn’t do anything to deserve the beat down.

So you tell me- what would you do if you were me???
