Growing up is hard to do…

Our boys are growing so fast thought I would give you a quick update on them…

Logan

I can’t believe how different life is with a 2 1/2 year old then it was only a few months ago… Logan is growing and learning so quickly- I can’t believe it. His speech is coming along- it of course is not improving as fast as I would have liked but it is improving non the less… I talked to our pediatrician and she suggested getting more speech though another agency, through our insurance and having him checked out to see if he might have some type of learning disability… Please pray as we take these steps that God would lead these Doctors and help us to be willing to accept what the doctors have to say good or bad. Our speech therapist says that Logan is extremely bright and he seems to be fine in every other area, he just isn’t picking up speech as well as we would have liked, so we are praying he is just delayed and not having a disability…

He is on the other hand starting to potty train- the other night he all of a sudden decided he would like to start going pee pee on the potty just like daddy and so he got the step stool and climbed up there with Daddy’s help and peed in the potty- he has been doing it every day since then, he of course is no where near potty trained, but he is at least interested and seems to be able to tell when he needs to go etc. In fact today he went poo poo in the potty- we are very excited it feels good to at least be starting this process and Logan seems interested and excited too…

Grayson

Can you believe it he is almost 7 months old!!! Gray has been sitting up steadily for a few weeks now, and he is so close to crawling its unbelievable- he actually will crawl once or twice but then seems to not know what to do with his back legs and he stops and pushes his leg straight so he is a triangle or he flops on his belly… I am sure he will be really crawling in a week or so… He so bad wants to keep up with his brother he has been crying all the time because he can’t go where he wants to go and get what he wants to get so we are praying he learns how to crawl ASAP!!! He is also waking up in the middle of the night to try to crawl and that is SOOO annoying!!! I am so sick of him waking us up crying because he can’t seem to get it… Oh well, I don’t want him to grow up too fast, but I can’t stand this crying stage either (we finally just got out of a crying stage- ahhh)

Gray just had his 6 month check up- our pediatrician said he looks great- he weights 17.2 pounds and is in the 50th percentile for weight, and head and 30th for height- no wonder he looks so chubby- he is average weight but short all that chub has to go somewhere- so for gray it’s wrinkles ;)

He is just the cutest little thing and even though he cries when he can’t crawl, when he is HAPPY he is HAPPY!!! I get people commenting all the time about how happy he is and what a great smile he has… If you look at him at all and acknowledge him at all you will be rewarded with a BIG Grayson smile- its too cute!!!

Grayson is eating everything under the sun- he is very much against nursing and the bottle- we have been having to force feed him to get him to drink any milk, he just wants to be big so badly that all he wants is baby food- and he is doing great eating all  the food even the stuff he doesn’t like (veggies)…

I can’t believe how fast our boys are growing soon they will be wrestling (and I will be refereeing), I am sure we will soon be making regular trips to the ER- I am hoping I am wrong, but I am sort of counting on going to the ER multiple times ;)

The best of vacation pictures…

LOGAN

You have the face of an angel

With your beautiful smile

No one can resist those eyes-

What undeniable style!

~Linda Price

GRAYSON

Tiny hands and tiny feet

And those bright blue eyes

Innocence shines from you abound

Truly you are from heaven’s skies.

~Suzanne Smith

THE BOYS

I’ve been blessed to have

A brother like you.

You’re my pal, my buddy,

And my best friend too.

~Dana Roberts Clark

THE FAMILY

A Family stitched together with love… seldom unravels.

US

You are my shining moon; you are my glistening sun.

You are my inner peace; you are my abundant fun.

You are my roaming land; you are my wavy sea,

You are, and always will be, everything to me…

~Crystal Dawn Perry

I know we are getting old and chubby- but I think we still look great together :)
I love, loving you, building a home and a family with you- I love that I feel more in love with you now than when we first met, or when we got married- I know that God has blessed us in so many ways and I just love seeing two of the many blessings- sitting right in front of us all day long… I love you baby!!! XOXO

Vacation 2008

Here is a quote that reflects our vacation to a T

“The rainy days that a man saves for, usually seem to arrive during his vacation”

We had one day of sun the rest were cloudy and rainy with a few breaks where we might see the sun, but here are a few pictures to document that we actually did go on VACATION ;)

Grayson

look at that face – Daddy and Gray enjoying a cloudy day on the dock

This life vest is REALLY uncomfortable…

Aaahh this is the LIFE!!!!

At the beach- having Grayson in this little bath tub worked great!

We took a dip in the Lake with Aunt Tee Tee…

Logan

Swimmin with Daggy… during a sunny part of the day…

Logan LOVED the beach- he was in and out of the water the entire time…

Logan in the floaty boat with Uncle Bill and Cousin Connor- He had a blast paddling around with them ;)

One of Logans favorite things to do was jump on the end of the dock- it was really rocky and if he jumped it would go down and up and he loved it- it was like a ride for him…

One of Logan’s other favorite things to do was nap with Daddy- every day daddy would put Logan down for his nap- they would read, they would watch a movie and then they would climb into bed and sleep- it was so nice- WHAT A GOOD DAGGY!!!!

Superman PJ’s were a huge hit- Logan is practicing his flying ;)

Ashlea

how could we forget our other “child”…

Renee (my sister) actually got Ashlea to jump in the water to get a stick- VERY impressive!!!

Ashlea is on her very best behavior in Canada- she loves it up there and this is what she looks like MOST of the time- she is constantly chewing or chasing a stick… And as you can see most of the time the sticks were bigger than she was – She was SO good!!!
