So the other day we were home ALL day and in an attempt to liven things up a bit I thought it would be fun to give theĀ boys a bath in the middle of the day and then set up some sheets and take a few pictures of them dressed in matching outfits…
WELL, that sooo didn’t happen… The bath happened then the melt down happened so I dressed and then put Grayson to bed then thought I might get away with taking a few good pictures of Logan… WELL, Again that didn’t happen… Needless to say, my photo shoot was a BIG FAT FAILURE!!! Here are the pictures I did get:

ahh, yes the jumping one, and the foot in the camera one, while holding the car up so you can’t be seen AT ALL…

the screaming one…

the car by the face so you can only see half of his cute face…

of course how could we not have the I am blowing raspberries at you mommy cause you are taking my picture picture…

and now the I’m laying down and still blowing raspberries at you…

the I am talking to you now so no matter what you do you can’t get a good picture of me picture…

And finally the this could maybe possibly if I doctored it up a bit be a good picture picture…
All I can say is… this is what I get for sticking a camera in his face since he was born and now he is turning into a typical BOY!!!
I doubt even if he did cooperate the pictures would have been that great, with the crazy back ground but at least I tried

So the other day after a VERY long day groc. shopping at like 10 different stores, ok it more like 2 or 3 but it felt like 10
and the boys were SUPER good (thats why we did all those stores ) as we were checking out at the last store Logan asked for a lollipop and I said yes- why not reward good behavior…
So we got in the car and I unwrapped the candy and gave it to him to eat as we headed home…
Here is what he looked like when we got home

Seriously how cute!!! I had to take a picture
I should have taken a picture of the half finished Lollipop that lay in his hand stuck to the car seat- fun clean up
so much for his treat…

Grayson is a year old today- can you believe it??? One year ago today I woke up at 4 am got ready and drove to Paoli Hospital by 5:30 am, where I willingly let them put needles in my arms and my back and joyfully let them slice me open and pull my little gray gray out
who does that??? A mom I guess!!!

I have to be honest the last year was not the easiest in our lives- little Grayson is a “needy” child and we went through many ups and downs this year- but we do it joyfully and happily- we are so thankful that God gave us our little Graybee- he is a wonderful blessing and yes he has his moments of crankiness but over all he brings smiles to our faces and joy to our hearts!!! We can’t imagine life with out him and we are so thankful that God gave him to us to love, care for and raise to be a man of honor…

Our prayer for Grayson Taylor LaGarde, on this day, his first birthday, is that he would grow up strong, healthy, happy and to be a man of God… A man that would not only know OF God but a man who knows God… We pray that he would know right and wrong and be strong enough to choose right over wrong… And that we would be the best parents we can be- that we would encourage and build up and not tear down… That we would be able to support him in all he does… We pray that God would protect and guide him and that he would follow the Lord our God with all his heart mind and soul…

Our little baby who was only 7 lbs, 5 oz when he was born now weights in at a whopping 21 lbs- He is growing so much and so quickly… He learned to roll over at 4 months, to crawl at 6 months, to walk at 10 months and he is now running before 12 months, he is getting more and more steady each day… He is starting to try to say words… He is doing his own form of sign language
he got his first hair cut two days ago… and he is becoming more and more “toddler” like every day… He plays with cars and makes them go “broom”… he tries to keep up with Logan in EVERY way… He is our beloved little Grayson…

Thank you Lord for loving us so much that you blessed us with Grayson to love and cherish and to raise to love you… We thank you for all your MANY MANY blessings you have poured down on us!!!

The Older you get the more you hold on…
But before you know it the day is gone…
Cherish each smile, each laugh, and each tear…
You blink your eyes and one day becomes a year…
