July 4th

IMG_4468.JPG

The 4th of July is Chris’ birthday- he turned 31 this year… wow!!!! Happy belated birthday to our most favorite daddy :)

IMG_4381.JPG

We celebrated all day long, and the next day… well, to be truthful we celebrated the whole weekend long :) here are some pictures of the boys “celebrating”…

IMG_4391.JPG

our boys LOVE playing with the flags, I hope it makes them proud of being an American :)

IMG_4444.JPG

our little fish who looks more like a froggie in this picture- he was learning how to kick, but mostly he floats and whines when he doesn’t go where he wants to go :)

IMG_4466.JPG

Logan, who when I called him a fishie he declared very clearly that he was not a fishie that he was a frog :) then he changed his mind and said no no, I’m Logan :) so besides being Logan, hes our little froggie and Gray is our fishie… I guess as long as we don’t end up with a snake we are good, right :) these boys sure do take after their daddy and just love the water…

Grayson being brave and going down the slide… Logan will not go down it this year, we think Chris scared him at the beginning of the summer on the big slide at the pond and now he won’t go down any slide :)

Cute picture of our “froggie”

The “Boys” hanging out… watching something good I am sure :)

Happy 31st birthday baby, we love you and think you are the greatest husband, and daddy we could ever imagine!!! Thank you for all you do for us! hugs and kisses!!!

Logans surgery

Last Monday July 6th, 2009 Logan went in to get another set of tubes in his ears and his adenoids out… I thought so we can remember what happened I would document it all…

He was such a trooper… We needed to be a the CHOP Exton Surgery Center at 8:40 and we got there right  on time… They check you in and check all of his information then they take you to the back room and you change them into a hospital outfit… Then you sit in the waiting room until they call you…

IMG_4536.JPG

in the changing room before the surgery- isn’t he cute in the little blue hospital gown????

Once they call you, you go into a small room where they have three beds and 2 extra chairs to each bed so each parent has a seat… and a TV :)

IMG_4537.JPG

Daddy and Logan watching Toy Story after they gave him the giggle juice…

They take their measurements and ask medical questions and then you sit and wait… after a few minutes they give the kids, what they call “giggle juice” , then we wait and watch TV… the giggle juice helps the kids calm down and go calmly into the OR with the nurse… we watched Toy Story 2 this time…

IMG_4538.JPG

All of us… not a great picture but at least now I know I was there… we were all a little nervous can’t you tell…

Once they are ready for him they take him back and its funny ALL the kids go willingly its so easy no fighting no screaming or kicking or crying, just off they go… easy as pie (I got to tell you- I really need some of that giggle juice for my trips to the grocery store :) )

Then we parents wait… when they are just getting tubes it is only 10 minutes tops till they are coming to get you… when its adenoids its a bit longer…

So we waited and waited, normally they come out and tell you that your child did well and they are in the recovery room and they will come get you in a min. but for some reason no one came to tell us that and FINALLY (after what seemed like forever) they came and got us and already Logan was waking up… Immediately Chris picked him up and rocked him and when they come out of it they cry and moan it is just so sad…
IMG_4539.JPG
The nurse gave us all kinds of information and paperwork, and the Dr. came out and said everything went well that he had TONS of fluid in his ear and he was going to put him on an antibiotic, and that his adenoids were very big and that it was good we took them out, that this should help a lot :)

After about 20 minutes of Logan crying he fell back to sleep and then when he woke up he was a much happier camper… and then we were sent home- thank goodness I hate being there and so do the boys :(

IMG_4540.JPG

look at that sweet little face, doesn’t it just want to make you cry… poor little guy!!!!

Logan was sore and grouchy/ groggy the whole day that day and has gotten progressively better… The worst part for all of us was getting him to take his medicine!!! It is apparently really sour and bitter and most kids won’t take it, for us, we almost had to sit on Logan to get him to take it… we mixed it in anything we could think of and nothing worked so when the nurse said we could do just Tylenol on Wednesday we went with that and have been having GREAT days since!!!

THANK YOU ALL for your prayers, thoughts and help we really appreciate it!!!

Anything you can do…

I can do too :)

Its the typical younger sibling trying to keep up with the older sibling… So if Logan has a ball, Grayson needs a ball, if Logan has a McQueen Grayson needs a McQueen, sometimes its sort of cute, but most times oh so VERY annoying…

*** “if  Logan can Walk down the stairs so can I”***

Here are just a few cute times :)

Sitting on daddies guitar

If Logan has a popsicle so does Grayson…

IMG_4373.JPG

here is Gray washing his hands because Logan just did :)

IMG_8328.JPG

If Logan is sitting on the couch then so is Gray… and sometimes Gray “butts” Logan off, its so rude!!!

IMG_8401.JPG

like here… so mean…

IMG_8417.JPG

And here is the face you will see if Grayson doesn’t get his way and get to do what Logan is doing… Yup, I see that face all day everyday, it comes with screaming, but since the site doesn’t come with sound you don’t get the full effect :)
