Hmmm, I would comment on the ridiculousness of this, but i think it speaks for itself.

On another note, as you might have known, I led worship at my church on Sunday morning. Last night, while at the church getting photos taken for the directory, an attender approached me and said something like this: “Aren’t you the guy who lead worship yesterday? Great job, I do have to admit the earrings threw me for a loop, but once I saw your heart, it changed my mind.”

I thanked the gentleman for the comment, and I am still appreciative but I have to admit, I found that entertaining. Never judge someone by their cover, or earrings, or tattoos, or whatever. Heck, I am sure Jesus got comments and stares about his long hair and goatee. . .

(that last part is a joke, in case, you didn’t get it)

Hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow, who is now a television pastor, has partnered with Holy Hip-Hop Music to form Music Ministry Recordings. According to Blow, the label (which is under the EMI Gospel umbrella) aims to reach “young people out here who love God but do not like to go to church, only Hip-Hop can bring them back to the church”
I had a thought as I read that – “Isn’t the church the body of Christ? So, if people do not like to ‘go to church’ what does that say about their view and feelings for Christ? ” I understand that what is referred to here is more the technical aspect of church, such as the music sung or the style of preaching, etc. But, you know what, the fact cannot be denied that if you do not “like church” or do not like to go to church, that you have a very immature view of what Christ created the church to be. I feel strongly that believers should be tied into a local church body and the bible is pretty clear on that. Church has nothing to do with production, lights, sound quality,etc. It has everything to do with worshipping God. That isn’t to say the aforementioned things are wrong, absolutly not, but when they are the focus for us to say this church is good, this church is bad. . . our views are not inline with the bible. Church SHOULD BE the manifestation of God’s love, through people, to the world; loving each other, serving each other and the world, as Christ did, and worship God. In doing that, if our production is “good” compared to the world then fine, but it should not be the focus. . . Ok, i gotta stop b/c i could go on and on. Sorry, thats a bit more than a slice. . .

In sports news, the Philadelphia Eagles, showed that last week was mostly a fluke, in a seemly easy win against the 49′ers on Sunday. Granted, they should have won this one, but after last weeks embarassing loss, they needed a win to show they are really a team to contend with. More on that. . .


Former president Bill Clinton let loose on Fox News anchor Chris Wallace this weekend in a televised interview. “You got that little smirk on your face, and you think you’re so clever,” he told Wallace at one point after he was asked about his response to the terrorism threat. He really invested in me at a key time in my life, and helped me gain confidence to develop my skills in my life. I can honestly say, I am who I am today, due to his influence. Thanks Mr. P! This one’s for you!

Congrats to my cousin (in-law) Seth windle (forever known as “Sethels). He apparently went and got a “Tat” this weekend. (thats short for tatoo). Here is a pic of it. I really like it:

In MORE apple news, i came across this post of a guy running a mac with the software Parallels running windows. This is freakin awesome. I can’t wait to get mine.

In more apple news, Apple sold over 125,000 movies on iTunes in 1 week. At an average of $12 a pop that is at least $1.5 mil. Hmmm, do I see other movie studio’s jumping on board?

A new division of Fox Filmed Entertainment will target Christian audiences. FoxFaith has struck a deal with major theater chains to release several of its films, most of which are relatively low-budget projects based on best-selling books (from relevantmagazine.com)

Yesterday, Apple upgraded their entire line of iMac’s to include intel core duo 2 chips, as well as the addition of a monster 24″ model. Now, this comes on the heels of their confirmation of a big announcement scheduled for Sept 12th, which the invitation is entitled “Showtime. . .”. Many have speculated that the iMac upgrade would be announced then as well, but I guess they
have more exciting and important news to announce next week.  Oh goody goody. . . .


Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, the actor who plays Mr. Eko on Lost, was arrested over the weekend for driving without a license and disobeying a police officer. It could be big, but rumors are flying.  Apple confirmed that it will hold a special media event on September 12 to introduce new products and services. “It’s Showtime,” reads the invite. During this event, it is rumored that they will announce a movie download service from ITMS as well as a new iPod, new 23″ iMac and possibly new MacBook Pro’s.
